Following college and graduate school, Ms. Nelson navigated a career in the health care industry with touches of business and real estate development. This experience ultimately led her and her family to California following the devastating 1994 Northridge earthquake, where real estate had plummeted to its lowest value in decades. Here, Darla exited the health care industry to assist in operations and financial management of the rapidly expanding real estate development company, Accord Interests, LLC. Upon Accord’s expansion to Oklahoma, Ms. Nelson relocated to Oklahoma City to oversee a large and exciting project, Isola Bella Apartments and its Extended Stay services.
Ms. Nelson currently administers all human resources programs and exercises control over the asset management of all related company properties. She is responsible for supervising all Accord and related company personnel as well as accounting services to each business unit.
Throughout her career, Ms. Nelson has involved herself in outside organizations, including professional societies and business organizations.
